Each of these issues affect our family, friends, and neighbors across District 12. Living on an island, we are uniquely interconnected, and our densely populated district is home to essential areas like Waikīkī, Ala Moana, Sheridan, McCully, Mōʻiliʻili, and Kakaʻako. It is vital that we come together to create solutions that uplift us all. Remember, every act makes an impact so let's keep caring for our district and each other.

HOMELESSNESS & AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Lack of affordable housing and high living costs contribute to homelessness in Hawaii. Sharon established a multi-agency task force to tackle this and develop housing solutions for those in need, ensuring access to safe living conditions.
KEIKI
As Vice-Chair of Ways and Means, Sharon ensures that schools in our district and all across our state get the improvements they need. She fights for resources for low-income and vulnerable families.
SEA-LEVEL RISE RESILIENCE
Sharon secured funding for sea-level rise resilience planning for our coastal district and continues to advocate for sustainable practices that protect our environment and communities. She knows we must be prepared for the challenges ahead while preserving the beauty of our shores for future generations.
CRIME & EXCESSIVE NOISE
"Scofflaws" threaten our island's safety and well-being. Sharon has created laws to address crime while promoting rehabilitation and has built strong relationships with law enforcement to enhance community safety.
KUPUNA
Since 2019, Sharon, co-convener of the Kupuna Caucus, has supported the elderly in aging with dignity by advocating for affordable housing and fostering collaboration among organizations to streamline resources.
NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS
Whether it is school facilities, traffic and pedestrian safety measures, parks and green spaces, beaches and improvements to public spaces, Sharon fights to better all aspects of our neighborhoods.
